Microneedling

Microneedling is a collagen-stimulating treatment that uses tiny, controlled micro-injuries to trigger the skin’s natural healing process. This helps improve skin texture, tone, and firmness while reducing the appearance of fine lines, acne scars, and enlarged pores. The microchannels created during treatment also allow products like medical-grade serums and PRP to be absorbed deeper into the skin, enhancing their effectiveness for a much stronger rejuvenating effect. We use SkinPen, the first FDA-cleared microneedling device, to ensure safe, precise, and effective treatments.

• Microneedling with PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma): Uses your own blood, processed to extract powerful growth factors, which are then applied during microneedling to accelerate healing, boost collagen production, and enhance results. PRP is especially effective for treating scars, fine lines, and overall skin rejuvenation.

Yes! Microneedling can be performed on the face, face and neck, or face, neck, and chest for a more comprehensive treatment. You can also enhance your results with ZO Booster Infusions or PRP, which are applied during the session for added skin benefits. Additionally, dermaplaning and/or extractions can be added to further refine and enhance your treatment. Your provider will help customize the best combination for your skin needs.

Most clients experience redness and mild sensitivity for 24-48 hours, similar to a sunburn. Some mild peeling or dryness may occur as the skin heals, but there is minimal downtime overall. Makeup can typically be worn after 24 hours, and most clients return to normal activities the next day.

Initial results—brighter, more even skin—can be seen in 1-2 weeks, with continued improvement over the next 4-6 weeks as collagen production increases. For optimal results, a series of 3-5 treatments spaced 4-6 weeks apart is recommended. If you have deeper acne scarring or more significant texture concerns, additional treatments may be needed for the best outcome. Your provider will assess your skin and recommend a personalized treatment plan.

Your provider will give you detailed post-care instructions, but general guidelines include:

• Avoid sun exposure, intense workouts, and sweating for 24-48 hours.
• Use gentle, hydrating skincare and avoid exfoliants or active ingredients for a few days.
• Keep the skin moisturized and protected with SPF 30+.

Microneedling is safe for most skin types and is ideal for those looking to improve texture, fine lines, scars, and overall skin quality. However, if you have active acne, skin infections, or certain medical conditions, your provider may recommend an alternative treatment.

Standard microneedling may be safe, but it has not been specifically tested in pregnant or breastfeeding patients. Microneedling with PRP and ZO Booster Infusions are not recommended during this time. We request clearance from your obstetrician before proceeding with treatment and can provide a list of all ingredients for them to review. Let your provider know if you are pregnant or breastfeeding so we can tailor your treatment accordingly.

A series of 3-5 treatments spaced 4-6 weeks apart is recommended for optimal results. If you have deeper acne scarring or more significant texture concerns, additional treatments may be needed. After your initial series, maintenance sessions can be done every 3-6 months for continued collagen stimulation and skin health.
