Upneeq

alert

Upneeq® (oxymetazoline hydrochloride 0.1%) is a once-daily prescription eye drop used to lift the upper eyelid in adults with acquired blepharoptosis. The instructions below summarize key points from the FDA-approved Patient Instructions for Use included with your prescription.

  • How to use Upneeq

    • Wash your hands thoroughly before each use.
    • Do not remove the single-use container from its child-resistant foil pouch until you are ready to use it.
    • Instill one drop in each affected eye, once daily, or as directed by your provider.
    • Each single-use vial contains enough solution for both eyes for one day only. Discard immediately after use — do not save or reuse leftover solution.
    • There is a small amount of extra solution in each vial in case you miss getting the drop into your eye.
    • Do not touch the dropper tip to your eye, fingers, or any surface to prevent injury or contamination.

Contact lenses and other eye drops

    • If you wear contact lenses, remove them before applying Upneeq. You may reinsert them 15 minutes after use.
    • If you use other eye drops, wait at least 15 minutes between products.

    Storage

    • Store vials at room temperature (68°F to 77°F) in their original child-resistant foil pouches.
    • Keep away from excessive heat and direct sunlight.
    • Keep out of reach of children.
    • Do not use if the solution changes color, becomes cloudy, or the packaging appears damaged.

    Important safety information

Upneeq is for use in the eye only. It can be harmful if swallowed.
