Laser hair removal has a very short recovery time and a low risk of complications. Following the guidance below helps your skin heal smoothly between sessions.
Important: Do not use any other hair removal methods on the treated area during the course of your treatments — no tweezing, waxing, or depilatory creams. Shaving is the only acceptable method between sessions. Other methods disrupt the hair follicle and prevent the laser from working effectively.
Please contact our office at (610) 393-1253 if you experience:
- Blistering or skin that appears broken
- Hives or an irritated, raised rash on the treated area (Benadryl may help relieve itching, unless contraindicated by your medications or medical history)
- Crusting that worsens or shows signs of infection
- Severe or spreading redness, fever, drainage, or increasing pain
If it is after hours, leave a message and we will follow up within 24 hours. If you believe you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room.
