FAQ’s

General & Other

arrow

Can I have more than one service during the same appointment?

A

Yes! The only injectable services that cannot be combined during your appointment are Dissolver and Filler (if in the same area). Lasers and chemical peels must be scheduled separately due to time constraints. Be sure to let your injector know exactly what your goals are for the appointment so they can prepare the best products for your treatment!

I have a cold, can I still come to my appointment?

A

Due to the hygienic nature of our services and office, we cannot accept sick patients. If you are feeling ill, please call or email as soon as possible to reschedule.

For questions about shadowing and hiring, please send your resume to hiring@allureaestheticsllc.com with the subject line “Shadowing” or “Hiring.”

How do I schedule a consultation?

A

Please schedule a “new client appointment” on our booking portal.

Do I need to make more than one appointment for more than one procedure?

A

You can have multiple services during one appointment, but please keep in mind you may need two or more sessions to achieve desired results.

How do I cancel appointments?

A

To cancel your appointment, please email the office at info@allureaestheticsllc.com and let us know as soon as possible! Make the subject “Appointment Cancellation” so it’s easy for us to find.

Please note that in the event of a no-show, cancellation, or request for rescheduling with less than 2 business days notice, there will be a $150 charge applied to your card.

Safety & Hygiene

arrow

Is it okay to wear makeup after my injections?

A

Generally, it’s best to avoid makeup for 24 hours after your appointment, but we recommend using Oxygenetix, which is the only safe foundation to use immediately post-injection! Oxygenetix is sold in our office.

arrow

Is it safe to have Neuromodulators or Dermal Fillers during pregnancy or while breastfeeding?

A

Cosmetic injectables and chemical peels are not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

arrow

Is it okay to have fillers before or after getting the COVID-19 vaccine?

A

Any vaccine could potentially trigger temporary swelling around fillers. As the immune system responds to the vaccine, it could create an inflammatory response to anything the body determines to be a foreign body.

This is not limited to the COVID vaccine, but it has been getting some more attention due to the magnitude of this vaccine rollout. It’s still very rare — we believe it occurred in 0.01% of people in the Moderna trial, and either subsided on its own or was treated over a few days with antihistamines and/or steroids to reduce the swelling until it subsided.

It’s something you can note to your doctor or pharmacist when receiving the vaccine so they’re aware (especially if you’re particularly sensitive to vaccines or allergic reactions) to see if they have any advice based on your medical history.

arrow

Will my daily medications be an issue/interfere prior to my appointment?

A

Please disclose any medications you are taking on the Patient Portal and your provider will advise.

arrow

What can I take for pain relief instead of Motrin?

A

We recommend taking Tylenol as it does not thin blood like Motrin or Ibuprofen; however, please do not take Tylenol if it is contraindicated with any of your current medical conditions or medications. If you are unsure, please consult your primary care provider.

What should I avoid after getting fillers?

A

Please refer back to our Post-Care Policies.
